Complaints

Each Committee is responsible for receiving complaints from HOA members on any matter involving Association functions, duties, and activities within its field of responsibility.  Each Committee Chair should dispose of these complaints as he/she deems appropriate or refer them to the appropriate committee, Board member or Officer of the HOA for resolution.

Architectural Review Committee--Chair Nick Valentino

As of July 20, 2016, Nick Valentino has volunteered to Chair the Architectural Review Committee.  Gene Simone will remain as a most valued member of the committee.  Our thanks to Gene for serving as the Interim Chair.

The Architectural Review Committee

  • Informs the members of all architectural standards of the Heatherwoode Golf Community

  • Consults with the Board of DIrectors concerning any violations of the architectural standards

  • Consults with the Board of Directors concerning any other matters that are in the best interest of the Home Owners' Association (HOA)

  • Advises the Board of Directors on other matters as it deems necessary

Communications Committee--Chair is Eric Eide

​The Communications Committee is responsible for communicating with the residents of Heatherwoode.  Additional members:  Carol Moore and Carol Hughes, Welcoming New Neighbors; Eric Eide, backup for heatherwoode.org website administration.

 

The Communications Committee

  • Publishes the quarterly newsletter--Marlene

  • Updates the Heatherwoode.org website--Eric or Marlene

  • Makes ongoing updates to the Heatherwoode Directory

  • Mailings

  • Welcoming Club for New Residents--Carol Hughes and Carol Moore coordinate the Section Captains

  • Advises the Board of Directors on other matters as it deems necessary

Finance Committee--Chair is Dave Meno

The Finance Committee manages the HOA finances.

The Finance Committee

  • Supervises the annual audit of the Home Owners' Association's books

  • Approves the annual budget and annual income and expenditure statement

  • Presents the annual budget and annual income and expenditure statement to the membership at the regular Annual Meeting held no later than 60 days after the end of the financial year

  • Presents a monthly income and expenditure statement to the Board of Directors for their approval

  • Each month, seeks approval for submitted expenditures

  • Advises the Board of Directors on other matters as it deems necessry

Maintenance Committee--Co-Chairs are Doug McWhorter and David Potts

The Maintenance Committee

  • Advises the Board of Directors on all matters pertaining to the maintenance of common areas

  • Performs an annual review of all maintenance related contracts

  • Manages and oversees maintenance of common area landscaping, repair or improvements of properties, and street signage.

  • Advises the Board of Directors on other matters as it deems necessary

Social Committee--Chair is Carol Hughes

This committee works closely with the Communications Committee to

  • Plan community events such as Pool Parties and Community Garage Sale in the spring

  • Coordinate the Welcome Club for New Residents

  • Provide New Resident information to the Communications Committee for updates to the Directory

Swim & Tennis Club Committee--Co Chairs are Carrie Simone and Kirt Pinney

The Swim & Tennis Club Committee advises the Board of Directors on all matters concerning the pool area and tennis courts.

The Swim & Tennis Club Committee

  • Advises the Board of Directors about repairs and mechanical issues related to the pool and tennis courts

  • Performs an annual review of all pool and tennis court related contracts

  • Makes regular assessments and presents recommendations for updates to the Board

  • Reviews and updates Pool and Tennis Court Rules which are presented to the Board for approval

  • Advises the Board of Directors on other matters as it deems necessary
